Martial law and mobilization will be extended, war is not over — Stefanchuk

Martial law and the mobilization in Ukraine will be extended.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk told Reuters this in an interview, Censor.NET reports, citing RBC‑Ukraine.
"I believe the Ukrainian parliament will once again back the extension of martial law and the continuation of mobilization, because the war has not ended — it is still under way," Stefanchuk said.
The Speaker added that he is determined to safeguard democracy even if the United States or Russia press Kyiv to hold a presidential election.
Stefanchuk stressed that holding free and fair elections is practically and legally implausible in a country that is partly occupied and still subjected to constant Russian attacks. According to him, preparations for future elections have begun, but they are at a very early stage.
