Situation in Toretsk: the enemy is trying to capture the city

The occupiers have increased their activity and intensified their assaults on Toretsk. The Russian army is trying to completely capture the city.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel by Serhii Tsehotskyi, an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

"The situation in the area of Toretsk is quite difficult. There are street battles. Our troops are in the city, but there are more enemy forces there. The Russians are piling in, trying to find our weaknesses and increasing their presence," the speaker said.

He noted that the occupiers are also trying to create tension in the area of Kostiantynivka.

"The enemy is using absolutely terrorist methods of warfare. We can already openly say that they are dropping ammunition from drones that explode after a certain time. This emphasizes the very principle of the behavior of Putin's troops, that they are fighting civilians," Tsehotskyi said.

Russian troops continue to exert pressure in the Donetsk region, but, in his opinion, they do not have the strength to advance along the entire front line.

"However, the Russians will try. We see that lately they have continued to be active in the Pokrovsk direction. They are also putting a lot of pressure on the Toretsk direction, trying to achieve some success and hang their tricolor in Toretsk. They are also amassing forces on the Sumy and Kharkiv directions. Ukrainian forces, for their part, are preparing in all directions, starting with the Belarusian one," the Ukrainian Armed Forces officer emphasized.

Earlier, the Luhansk military operation reported that the occupation forces are carrying out a significant number of assault operations in the center of Toretsk, Donetsk region, and are trying to flank the mines in order to block the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
