Occupiers intensify fire activity in southern sector - Defense Forces

The Russian invaders are intensifying their firepower on the southern frontline. The enemy is particularly active in the Huliaipol direction.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn in a comment to Ukrinform, Censor.NET reports.
"Over the past day, the enemy has significantly increased its fire activity in the southern direction, and this primarily concerns the fact that it has significantly intensified air strikes. Over the last day, 14 air strikes were registered with the use of 29 guided aerial bombs and 156 unguided aerial missiles. That is, both tactical and bombing aircraft of the enemy were quite active in attacking the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and settlements located near the combat line," said the spokesman.
In particular, according to Voloshyn, the enemy used 56 unguided aerial missiles to strike Huliaypole in the Zaporizhzhia direction, and more than 20 to strike Kamianske. The occupants fired at Stepnohirsk and other localities in Zaporizhzhia region with anti-aircraft guns. The enemy also launched more than 700 strikes with kamikaze drones yesterday.
The defense forces recorded 17 attacks by the invaders over the past day, which indicates the enemy's intensification.
"The enemy was most active in the Huliaipole direction, trying to break through towards Pryvilne. They tried to seize our positions, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces held their ground and even tried to counterattack," said Voloshyn.
According to the spokesperson, much fewer enemy assault actions were recorded in the Orikhiv direction. According to him, "the Russians are regrouping and rotating in this area, redeploying their special assault groups to the frontline."
"That is, the enemy is ready to resume this activity not today or tomorrow and try to break through our defense line, which runs there in the area of Mali Shcherbaky, Shcherbaky, Stepove, Lobkove. The enemy continues to try to break through and seize a foothold there," Voloshyn added.
Earlier it was reported that Russian troops in the Zaporizhzhya region are trying to break through the defense line and seize a bridgehead.
