During my first term, Putin didn’t even think about war – Trump

US President Donald Trump has once again blamed Joe Biden for Russia's war against Ukraine.
He said this during a meeting with El Salvadoran President Nayib Buchele at the White House, Censor.NET reports.
"I want to stop the killings. And I think we’re doing well in that regard. I believe you’ll have some very good proposals very soon," he said.
"You take a look at Putin. I'm not saying anybody's an angel. But I will tell you I went four years [in my first term], and it [war] wasn’t even a question, He [Putin] would never have started it. And I told him: "Don't do it. You're not going to do it.." And it [Ukraine] was the apple of his eye but there was no way that he would have done it," the US president said.
Instead, Trump told how he believes Joe Biden should act to stop the war in Ukraine.
According to him, his predecessor could have stopped the war by "lowering oil prices", but he did not.
"Biden kept the prices so high because he made it impossible to get it. And what should we do now? We now have a country that has lost 25% of its territory, the best places, millions of people have died... It was Biden's war, and I am trying to stop it..." he added.
The day before, Donald Trump, commenting on Russia's strike on Sumy, said: "I think it was terrible. And I was told they made a mistake. But I think it was a horrible thing. I think all war is a horrible thing".
