US, Ukraine, and Europe Talks in Paris. What’s Known

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot called the meetings held in Paris on Thursday, April 17, a diplomatic success for France.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the European Parliament.

After the talks in Paris with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and the United States, the minister said that this meeting was a "diplomatic success" for France.

"This is a diplomatic success for France, because for the first time, Americans, Ukrainians, and Europeans sat down at the same table," Barrot said.

According to the Foreign Minister, the meetings were very important because "we are talking about moving towards our common goal: peace."

"And in order for this to happen, we must continue the dialogue. The Americans want to end this war," the minister said, adding that the Americans are "listening" and want a ceasefire.

Earlier, Umerov reported on the first meeting in Paris with representatives of the "coalition of the willing".

According to him, the meeting was attended by French President Emmanuel Bonne, National Security Advisor, Jonathan Powell, Advisor to the British Prime Minister, and Jens Ploetner, Advisor to the German Chancellor.

On April 17, French President Emmanuel Macron received US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, followed by a working lunch at the Elysée Palace.
