Russian occupiers destroyed Kupiansk by 85%

Consequences of Russian shelling of Kupiansk

Since the beginning of April, the Kupyansk community has suffered 2,500 attacks, including 84 aerial bombs dropped by Russians. As a result of these attacks, four civilians were killed and 19 others were injured.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Andrii Besedin, head of the Kupyansk CMA, on Suspilne TV.

"Today, 85% of the city of Kupiansk is destroyed or damaged. This includes apartment buildings, the private sector, critical civilian infrastructure, hospitals, cultural centers, museums, any infrastructure that exists in Kupiansk. In fact, there are no surviving locations. The enemy also heavily damaged our gas transportation system yesterday. Unfortunately, today the city is without gas supply. We are trying to restore it. I think we will succeed today. But, again, this shows the cynicism and plans of the enemy: to destroy the city, destroy the community, and kill every resident of Kupiansk," said the head of the CMA.

According to Besedin, 1754 people remain in Kupiansk today. The total number of people in the community is 2800.

On April 17, the Russian invaders dropped a 1.5-ton guided aerial bomb on a high-rise building in the city.

Unfortunately, three floors were completely destroyed. One woman was injured, and a policeman was also injured. According to preliminary, unconfirmed information, two more people may be under the rubble. Unfortunately, the search is very difficult because we need to involve specialized equipment, which is extremely difficult to bring to the city of Kupyansk so that it is not destroyed," said the head of the Kupiansk CMA.
