Mosiichuk claims he confessed to taking bribe under torture
Verkhovna Rada deputy Ihor Mosiichuk (Radical Party faction, Oleh Liashko) claims law enforcers used tortures against him to get the admission.
He says it in his official statement, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny."The Prosecutor General's Office has released a video today where I they say voluntarily admitted receiving illegal profit. I declare that the video comes in the wake of severe tortures," the statement reads. The MP says that Oct. 7, while in prison, the interrogators offered him to confess in the case in exchange for medical care.
Also, according to Mosiichuk, they forced him to evidence against Radical Party's leader Oleh Liashko, party's member Andrii Lozovyi, and leader of the UKROP party Hennadii Korban. "I agreed to incriminate myself, but I emphasize: not a single document in this regard was signed by me. This admission was the only way for me to survive at that time," he said.
At the same time, Mosiichuk welcomes PGO's decision to release the video of confession.
