Today, 11 December, a meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing" was held, at which, among other things, the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine had been discussed.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Censor.NET.
Security guarantees
"We held a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, which is an important format for security support for Ukraine now and in the future. We are working to ensure security guarantees include serious components of European deterrence and are reliable, and it is important that the US is with us and supports us. No one is interested in a third Russian invasion," the president said.
Defence support for Ukraine
Zelenskyy stressed that defence support for Ukraine is particularly important now.
"Because Russia is not stopping its attacks, and there must be more protection of life for diplomacy to work for a just peace. Thank you to everyone who is helping," he added.
What preceded this?
- Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the "Coalition of the Willing" had already completed work on security guarantees for Ukraine and intended to discuss them with the United States.
