I am strongly considering of U.S. pulling out of NATO, - Trump

Trump says he is considering withdrawing from NATO

U.S. President Donald Trump is seriously considering the possibility of the United States withdrawing from NATO. This is because the Alliance did not join the U.S. operation against Iran.

He made this statement in an interview with The Telegraph, according to Censor.NET.

"I always knew that they (NATO—Ed.) were a paper tiger, and Putin, by the way, knows this too," said the U.S. leader.

Trump recalled that he had helped NATO, particularly in the war with Ukraine.

"We helped them without hesitation, including Ukraine. Ukraine wasn’t our problem. It was a test, and we stood by them, and we would always stand by them. But they didn’t stand by us," he explained.

"Sources close to the president have reported that he is also considering the possibility of withdrawing American troops from Germany—a move he has been considering since returning to office last year," the publication writes.
