Russian shelling hits energy workers in Zaporizhzhia region

During efforts to restore electricity supply in the Bilenke community of the Zaporizhzhia region, a team of energy workers came under shelling from Russian troops.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was stated in a social media post by Andrii Stasevskyi, chairman of the board of Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo.

According to him, the workers were carrying out repair work after another Russian attack when fire was opened on them. The shelling damaged specialized equipment. No one was injured.

Shelling during power restoration

The head of the company noted that the team had been restoring electricity to residents of the community when the attack occurred.

Enemy drones damaged a bucket truck, with damage recorded to the front fender and wheel. All four workers are currently safe.

  • Earlier, on March 19, a Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo employee was injured in a strike on an energy facility. He was diagnosed with blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the back.
  • In addition, on March 18, Russian troops attacked a DTEK team with drones in the Dnipropetrovsk region while the energy workers were on their way to inspect a power line near a frontline settlement.
