"There is currently a pause in the trilateral talks. We are in contact with the Americans, but we can see that the Ukrainians are also actively negotiating with them. Right now, the American negotiators—we know who we're talking about—are focused on other matters, on a different issue to a greater extent," he said.
Ushakov also explained whether the United States informs Russia about the progress of its negotiations with Ukraine.
"Discussions are underway, and during these discussions we are focusing, I would say, primarily on Ukrainian issues," Putin's aide added.
