There is no deadline for withdrawal of troops from Donbas, - Peskov

Peskov: Russia is not setting a deadline for its demands regarding Donbas

Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian dictator, stated that in order to "halt the active phase of the war," Ukraine must withdraw its troops from Donbas; however, Russia has not set any deadlines for this.

This was reported by Censor.NET, citing Russian media.

"To bring the active phase of the SMO [special military operation] to a halt, Ukraine must withdraw its troops from Donbas, but Russia has not set any deadlines," Peskov stated.

He added that Russia will continue the so-called "SMO" until all its stated objectives are achieved.

In addition, Peskov reported that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will hold an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council today, April 3, and that he also has an international phone call scheduled.

What preceded it?

The Kremlin recently stated that Ukraine must withdraw its troops "today" from the parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions under its control.
