Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a phone call with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, stressed the inadmissibility of undermining efforts to achieve peace in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"It is important that Türkiye’s efforts for a peaceful end to the war between Russia and Ukraine are not hindered," Erdogan told Putin.

He called on the parties to refrain from actions that could lead to an escalation of tensions.

According to the Turkish president, attacks on civilian vessels in the Black Sea harm stability in the region. The Turkish leader also said that the war in Iran should not create new centers of conflict.
