"It's too late. Nadiia's health has melted away," - Savchenko's mother
Maria Savchenko, the mother of Russian-held Ukrainian pilot and people's deputy Nadiia Savchenko, spoke of the consequences of the dry hunger strike declared by her daughter in protest.
She spoke about it on air of Shuster Live talk show, Censor.NET reports."I am grateful to the world community for the efforts [to save Nadiia Savchenko - ed.]. But it's too late. Nadiia's health has melted away. When I met with her the day before yesterday [in the courtroom - ed.]... I took her hands, and those hands were blue from finger tips to elbows. The legs are swollen, and boots won't fasten. I cried there," Maria Savchenko said.
