Coalition supported Hroisman's candidacy for premiership, - MP Honcharenko

The parliamentary coalition at a meeting on Wednesday approved the candidacy of incumbent Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Hroisman for the post of head of government.

Petro Poroshenko Bloc deputy Oleksii Honcharenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"The coalition has nominated Hroisman for the post of prime minister and issues a corresponding recommendation to the president," he wrote.

No other details have been disclosed.

Hroisman's spokesperson Dmytro Stoliarchuk has also confirmed this information. "The coalition has just supported Hroisman's candidacy for the post of prime minister by an absolute majority," he said.
