U.S. to allocate $220 million in reform aid, - Biden

This assistance package will continue the U.S. support for Ukraine's efforts to strengthen democratic institutions and the rule of law, reinforce the foundations for sustainable economic growth, and respond to humanitarian needs. The new assistance will also support other key areas of Prime Minister Hroisman's ambitious reform agenda.
The funds will also assist Ukraine with fighting corruption, reforms in judicial system, and reforms of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko.
The aid is also aimed at extending decentralization across Ukraine, helping to improve service delivery, increase citizen engagement and oversight, and raise public awareness of the benefits of reforms, the White House's message reads.
It was reported earlier that Ukraine's PM Hroisman and U.S. Vice President Biden have held an extended meeting with delegations, followed by a closed one behind the doors.
Hroisman's visit to the U.S. will last for three days.
On June 15, Ukraine's government head held meetings with U.S. top officials.
