War will end when Ukraine deprives Russia of its ability to launch offensives, - Butusov

What will determine the end of the war: Butusov responds

Ending the war in Ukraine depends on stabilizing the front lines. Russia will end the war when it can no longer advance.

This was stated by Yurii Butusov, commander of the UAV company of the 23rd Assault Regiment within the National Guard’s 2nd Corps "Khartiia," according to Censor.NET.

End of the war

In his opinion, the war will continue for "at least a couple more years."

"Many people are calling for an end to the war. I answer these kinds of questions on almost every broadcast. I can tell you that the war will end the moment the Ukrainian Armed Forces stop the Russian offensive by force of arms and stabilize the front. And after some time, in a few months, when Russia realizes that, aside from heavy losses, it cannot capture another meter of Ukrainian land, but can only lose more," Butusov explained.

Only then will the war truly end, the commander believes.

"Putin will be forced to make peace. It’s the same scenario as in the Korean War of 1950–1953. When there is no peace treaty, but hostilities have effectively ceased," he added.
