This was reported by Censor.NET, citing the ASTRA Telegram channel.
Initial details
Orenburg Mayor Albert Yumadilov reported that "UAV debris" had fallen onto the grounds of the OZON logistics complex.
"Several UAVs were shot down over the special economic zone where our industrial enterprises are located. No one was injured. Debris fell onto the grounds of the Ozon logistics complex, causing a fire which was quickly extinguished by Ministry of Emergency Situations staff," Yumadilov wrote.
Footage from eyewitnesses, analysed by ASTRA’s OSINT analyst, shows a fire engine heading towards the OZON warehouse in Orenburg, within the "Orenburg Region" special economic zone at 15 Tikhaya Street.
OZON has now reported that over 300 employees have been evacuated from the logistics centre. The company is temporarily not accepting deliveries to the warehouse. Goods stored at the logistics centre will be removed from the marketplace’s listings.
What led up to this?
- This is the second OZON warehouse to be attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The first was struck on 22 August in the Samara region.
- A warehouse complex in St Petersburg caught fire without any prior warning. The area affected by the fire is growing; Ozon is located nearby.
