Zelenskyy: There is no total blockade of Black Sea
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there is currently no total blockade of the Black Sea.
He made the statement at a press conference during the Coalition of the Willing summit in Kyiv on Monday, August 24, Censor.NET reports, citing Ukrinform.
Three to four ships pass through daily
"Today, there is no total blockade. There is an attempt to impose a total blockade, but three to four ships enter and leave Greater Odesa every day, despite their strikes on port infrastructure," the head of state said.
Seeking ways to lift blockade
According to the President, several options for unblocking the Black Sea are currently under consideration. He said that several countries would work on the process but did not specify which ones.
"Several countries will work on this. It will involve a negotiation process, a negotiation track with ‘the Russians,’ as well as protection by strengthening the air defence of the grain corridor," the Ukrainian leader said.
