Soldiers of the 66th Separate Mechanised Brigade, named after Prince Mstyslav the Brave, cleared and liberated the settlement of Shandryholove during Operation Vivaldi.
As Censor.NET reports, servicemen of the 1st Mechanised Battalion and the Siverska Sich Motorised Infantry Battalion took part in the combat operation, supported by the brigade’s UAV operators.
Before the Ukrainian infantry entered, drone pilots struck shelters and positions of Russian invaders in Shandryholove. This allowed the assault groups to advance through the settlement with fewer risks.
After clearing the village, Ukrainian troops also stormed a wooded area north of Shandryholove. The brigade noted that this made it possible to strengthen the defence of Shandryholove and Serednie.
During one of the episodes, Ukrainian troops captured an enemy strongpoint without firing a single shot, while UAV operators attacked the invaders and prevented them from consolidating their positions.
