Russian troops launched a massive attack on Izium in the Kharkiv region, reportedly dropping eight guided bombs on the town. The strikes took place between 21:30 and 21:50.
This was reported by the Izium City Military Administration on its Telegram channel, according to Censor.NET.
Izium has suffered a massive strike: there is damage and fires
According to preliminary data, Russian forces carried out eight strikes on the city using guided bombs. The strikes were recorded in the areas of Verkhne Selishche and IOMZ.
The attack caused damage to private homes and blocks of flats. Fires broke out at some of the impact sites. Power supplies were also cut off in the areas where the strikes occurred.
"No reports of casualties have been received so far," the city’s military administration said.
Update
The Izium City Military Administration reported that seven people were injured as a result of the shelling. One 11-year-old child suffered an acute stress reaction. The injured are receiving the necessary medical care.
The full extent of the damage caused by the shelling is still being assessed.
