Russia carries out "revenge strikes" against Ukraine over Kyiv’s expansion of target list – Peskov

Russian dictator’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said Russian forces would continue striking Ukraine, describing the attacks as "revenge" for Kyiv’s alleged expansion of its list of targets for attacks inside Russia.
Censor.NET reports this, citing Russian Telegram channels.
"The Russian Foreign Ministry and Defence Ministry have warned of the dangers of operating embassies in Kyiv. Now it is up to the countries themselves to decide," the dictator’s spokesman said.
Peskov also said Russian forces would continue combat operations regardless of other countries’ decisions about the operation of their embassies in Kyiv, claiming that Ukraine was striking targets in Russia’s civilian economy.
"Our armed forces are carrying out retaliation," Peskov stressed.
Peskov asserts Russia’s claim to the entire Donetsk region
The previous day, in an interview with Russian propagandist Pavel Zarubin, Peskov said Russia was not abandoning its claim to the entire Donetsk region, including areas currently controlled by Ukraine. In particular, he said the size of these areas did not matter to Moscow.
"Be it half a percent or one hundredth of a percent. This is the Russian Federation. There is nothing to discuss here," the Kremlin spokesman said.
Moscow thus continues to insist on its claim to the entire Donetsk region within the boundaries that Russia assigns to the so-called "DPR".
