Russia is choosing escalation; on our part, there are no obstacles to negotiations, – Zelenskyy
Today, 5 October, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk.
He announced this on his Telegram channel, according to Censor.NET.
According to him, every day Russia chooses escalation over peace.
"And we are very grateful to Poland for providing us with the necessary assistance at such a difficult time. Today I spoke with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and personally expressed my gratitude for their solidarity and support," the head of state said.
He also informed the Polish Prime Minister about preparations for possible trilateral technical-level meetings between Ukraine, the US and Russia.
"There are no obstacles on our part, but it is important that the American side makes the necessary preparations and ensures Russia’s readiness. We also discussed the preparation of our power grid for winter and other sensitive issues. Not everything can be discussed in detail over the phone – we have agreed to meet in person in the near future. I am grateful to Donald and Poland for their support. Only by joining forces across Europe can we stop Russia and prevent this sick war from continuing," the statement reads.
