Russia has attacked five regions of Ukraine: at least 10 dead and over 100 injured. PHOTO

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have attacked the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Chernihiv regions. At least 10 people were killed as a result of the shelling, and over 100 were wounded or injured.

Kharkiv region: seven dead, 80 injured

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv and 10 settlements in the region. Seven people were killed and a further 80 were injured, including three children, according to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

In Kharkiv, two women and four men were killed. Fifty-nine people were injured, including two girls aged 11 and 15 and a 15-year-old boy.

In Chuhuiv, six people were injured, whilst a further six suffered acute stress reactions. In the village of Raivka, an 85-year-old woman was killed, and two women aged 58 and 60 were injured.

Residents of Zolochiv, Derhachi and Fesky were also affected.

The Russians used missiles, KAB bombs, multiple launch rocket systems and drones across the region. In Kharkiv, around 45 vehicles, warehouses, two civilian enterprises, four blocks of flats and private homes were damaged.

Donetsk region: fatalities and injuries in several communities

In the Kramatorsk district, people were killed and others injured as a result of Russian attacks, according to the head of the regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.

In Sloviansk, one person was killed and four others were injured. Four high-rise blocks and 20 private homes were damaged.

One person was also killed in Sukhanivka. Three private homes were destroyed and a further 27 were damaged.

In Kramatorsk, four people were injured and three cars were damaged. In Druzhkivka, one person was killed and another was injured.

Damage was also reported in Yakovlivka, Mykhailivka, Vesela Hora and Serhiivka.

Sumy region: one man killed, nine injured

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 48 strikes on 25 settlements in the Sumy region, according to the regional police.

In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a 49-year-old man was killed as a result of a strike by a Russian drone.

In the Sumy community, a UAV injured a 44-year-old man.

People injured in previous Russian attacks also sought medical attention, including two children — boys aged two months and one year.

In the Seredyno-Budska community, three men aged 41, 49 and 29 sustained injuries and wounds as a result of mortar shelling.

Dnipropetrovsk region: two injured

Russian troops attacked three districts of the region with drones nearly 20 times, according to the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.

In the Nikopol district, Nikopol, as well as the Marhanetska, Pokrovska, Tomakivska and Chervonohryhorivska communities, came under attack. A private house and a car were damaged, and two people were injured.

In the Kryvyi Rih region, the Russians attacked the Zelenodolsk community, where a fire broke out.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, a strike hit an industrial site, and a fire also broke out.

Chernihiv region: three border communities under fire

On 5 October, Russian troops attacked the Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovska communities, according to Halyna Shekhovtsova, spokesperson for the Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, in a comment to ‘Suspilne’.

At least 10 villages came under fire. The Russians used FPV drones, including those on fibre-optic cables, ‘Molniya’ UAVs, KABs, mortars and artillery, and also dropped explosives from drones.

In the Novhorod-Siverskyi community, explosions were recorded in Buchky, Krasnyi Khutir and Mykhalchyna Sloboda.

In the Semenivska community, Zarichchia, Leonivka and Lohy came under attack.

In the Snovska community, Russian troops attacked Hirsk, Huta-Studenetska, Kliusy and Khrinivka.
