Russia is preparing for massive strike on Ukraine; countermeasures are being implemented, - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conference call with government officials and military personnel. Intelligence reported that Russia was preparing for a large-scale attack.
The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Censor.NET.
Details
"Firstly: the Minister of Defence and the Commander of the Air Force reported on the deployment of air defence systems and the organisation of defence lines to protect designated key facilities. We are supplying the necessary ammunition for the F-16s, interception systems and anti-missile systems. The greatest challenge lies with anti-ballistic systems, and the availability of these supplies depends entirely on our partners. We are working with them on a daily basis," the statement reads.
Furthermore, according to Zelenskyy, over the past 24 hours the Russians have attacked several Ukrainian hospitals – in Kramatorsk and Kryvyi Rih.
"The emergency services responded effectively, and it is important that in all our regions, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reacts promptly to every such situation. Thank you for your professional work!" he said.
The President noted that government officials, together with representatives of regional authorities, had prepared additional logistical solutions in response to the Russian operation against Ukrainian logistics.
Massive shelling
"We received updated intelligence today regarding Russian preparations for a massive strike. We are preparing our response. We have set deadlines for the completion of a significant portion of the tasks; the most urgent ones are already being implemented. Thank you to everyone who is defending our country and its people!" – the Head of State concluded.
