Two Red Cross workers injured in Zaporizhzhia region while heading to site of attack

Two Ukrainian Red Cross staff members were injured while responding to the aftermath of a Russian attack in the Zaporizhzhia region. One sustained a shrapnel wound.
According to Censor.NET, the Ukrainian Red Cross reported this on Tuesday.

This morning, a crew from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region was traveling to the scene of an emergency to help those affected.
An explosion occurred near the Ukrainian Red Cross vehicle while it was traveling, injuring two emergency response team staff members.
- One staff member sustained a shrapnel wound. He is currently in hospital under medical supervision and receiving the necessary treatment.
- The second staff member sustained minor injuries. He was discharged from hospital after receiving medical care.

The Ukrainian Red Cross categorically condemns attacks that endanger humanitarian workers and damage vehicles clearly marked with the Red Cross emblem.
"Despite constant danger and daily shelling, the Ukrainian Red Cross continues to carry out its humanitarian mission, helping civilians, saving lives and supporting people in need," the organization stressed.
