202 clashes occurred on front lines over past 24 hours: heaviest fighting took place in Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors, - General Staff
In total, over the past 24 hours, on October 6, 2026, 202 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines.

Shelling
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 85 airstrikes, including the dropping of 278 guided bombs. In addition, the invaders deployed 9,728 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,521 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops.
In the Sumy region, the settlements of Ulanove, Pysarivka, Khrapivshchyna, Seredyna-Buda, Korchakivka, Hirky, and Volfyne came under enemy artillery fire. The area around the settlement of Khrapivshchyna was targeted by airstrikes.
Strikes against the enemy
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck one area where enemy personnel were concentrated and one enemy UAV command post.
The General Staff reminds that the total losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,690 personnel. Additionally, four armored combat vehicles, 51 artillery systems, eight multiple-launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, 12 ground-based robotic systems, 1,890 unmanned aerial vehicles, two heavy flamethrower systems, 577 enemy vehicles, and five units of specialized equipment were destroyed.
Situation in the North
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the invaders launched three attacks in the areas of Bachivsk, Rivne, and Volfyne.
Situation in the Kharkiv Region
As noted, in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian units repelled 11 enemy attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of Volokhivka, Starytsia, Izbytske, Zakharivka, Mala Vovcha, and Varvarivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched a single attack in the Kivsharivka area.
Situation in the East
According to the General Staff, attempts to advance were halted in the Lyman direction, where our defenders repelled eight attacks in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Nadiia, Stavky, Novoselivka, and Lyman.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two enemy attacks in the Minkivka area.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 14 attacks were recorded. The occupiers carried out assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Mykolaipillia, and Osykove.
As noted, in the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 27 attacks. The enemy concentrated its main efforts in the areas of Serhiivka and Molodetske, and also carried out assaults in the directions of Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Bilytske, Vodianske, Dobropillia, and Novohryshyne.
The Situation in the South
According to the General Staff, 13 attacks by the invaders were repelled in the Huliaipole sector in the areas of Hirke, Rybne, Vozdvyzhivka, Dolynka, Rivne, Kopani, Yehorivka, Novoselivka, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the areas of Stepnohirsk and Plavni.
In the Sloviansk, Oleksandrivka, and Prydniprovskyi sectors, the enemy did not carry out any active operations over the past day.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, the situation remains largely unchanged. No signs of the enemy forming offensive groups have been detected.
Ukrainian defenders continue to systematically destroy enemy forces, mount effective resistance across all sections of the front, and inflict significant losses on the occupiers.
