Fuel stocks exhausted: Kamianets-Podilskyi cuts number of municipal transport services

From 6 October, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi region, is temporarily reducing the number of municipal transport services and changing timetables. The reason is that fuel stocks have run out.
This was reported by Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, according to Censor.NET.
Service reductions
"Buses operated by the municipal enterprise Komuntransservis ran on their routes every day, so the available fuel stocks gradually ran out. They were supposed to be replenished with a new delivery. Funds for purchasing fuel are allocated in the city budget, and the enterprise submitted all payment documents on time," the statement said.
However, the city council noted that, after the government introduced a new order of priority for budget spending, the Treasury has been delaying municipalities’ payments across Ukraine.
"In Kamianets-Podilskyi, payments totalling around UAH 16.9 million have not yet been processed, including payment for fuel for municipal transport," the city council said.
Therefore, from 6 October, the municipal enterprise is temporarily reducing the number of services and changing timetables.
Expected resumption
"If the Treasury processes the payment and the enterprise receives the fuel, it will probably be possible to restore the full service in November," the city council added.
