On the night of October 7–8, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 142 strike drones. Air defense forces destroyed and intercepted 126 enemy UAVs.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
The attack began at 6:00 p.m. on October 7. In total, the enemy deployed 142 attack UAVs, including Shahed-type drones—82 of which were rocket-powered—as well as "Gerbera" drones and "Parody"-type decoy drones.
The drones were launched from Russian territory and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Specifically, they were detected coming from the following directions:
- Orla, Kursk, Shatalov;
- the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk;
- Gvardeyskogo in occupied Crimea.
Air Defense Operations
The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9:30 a.m., air defense had shot down or neutralized 126 enemy UAVs of various types.
There have been hits and debris falling
According to preliminary data, airstrikes were recorded at seven locations.
There are also reports of downed drones and their debris falling at four locations.
The Russian Federation's attack continues. Several enemy UAVs remain in Ukrainian airspace.
