NATO is seeking 20-mm ammunition for Ukraine to shoot down Russian jet-powered drones: they are cheap and effective, - Admiral Dragone

Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, has asked the allies to determine how much 20-millimeter ammunition they can immediately provide to Ukraine. The Alliance considers such ammunition to be an inexpensive and effective means of countering Russian jet-powered drones.
According to Censor.NET, the admiral made this statement in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to Dragone, he met last week with the new commander of the NATO Security Assistance and Training Center for Ukraine (NSATU). During the meeting, they discussed the effectiveness of 20-millimeter ammunition in countering Russian drones.
"He told me just how effective and inexpensive 20-millimeter ammunition is. I have already reached out to everyone to find out how much can be sent to Ukraine immediately. Some countries are already providing it. The process is moving forward," the admiral said.
The Chairman of the NATO Military Committee noted that he expects new shipments from partner nations.
He also assured that he would continue to press for the accelerated transfer of such munitions to Ukraine, as their low cost and effectiveness make them an important tool for countering Russian jet-powered drones.
