Steel claws of "kitties": "Khartiia" launches new recruitment campaign. VIDEO+PHOTOS
The National Guard of Ukraine’s 2nd Corps, "Khartiia", has launched a new communications campaign, "Khartiia – kitties". Its aim is to use the familiar image of "our soldiers as our kitties" to highlight the characteristics of a modern unit: intelligence, technological sophistication, adaptability and the ability to see more than the enemy.
Censor.NET reports this, citing the press centre of the National Guard’s 2nd Corps, "Khartiia".

In its new campaign, "Khartiia" plays on the popular cat meme to emphasise its soldiers’ predatory nature and professionalism. The "military cats" in Khartiia’s new advertisements are animals that live alongside the servicemen who took them in, in places ranging from underground dugouts to workshops. In the campaign, the cats also sit in trenches, operate unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), analyse data in the ISTAR system, work at night, make decisions at lightning speed and share military wisdom.
"Probably every serviceman has heard themselves called ‘our kitties’, as something very sweet and gentle. But behind that image lies complex and dangerous work. Cats are true predators. They are cunning and intelligent and can hunt in the dark. In our combat environment, these qualities help us work as a single pack and achieve results," Khartiia Corps’ communications team commented.
"Khartiia" consistently cares for animals. In particular, the corps’ servicemen have repeatedly used UGVs to evacuate abandoned pets under fire. Recently, the corps and the MasterZoo pet store chain launched an adoption project for animals rescued from hotspots in the Kharkiv region. Soldiers evacuate them from dangerous areas and place them in the care of partner shelters to find them new families.
The campaign has already launched on digital platforms.
