Zelenskyy and Estonian Defense Minister Herem discussed PURL program, air defense purchases and Drone Deal. VIDEO

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Estonian Defense Minister Martin Herem.

The president reported this on his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.

Support from Estonia

"In virtually all our contacts with partners, we discuss how to strengthen the protection of Ukraine's skies. Estonia is actively helping in this area. We are grateful for every defense package and for support for the PURL program, which enables us to obtain ballistic missile interceptors," Zelenskyy said.

What was discussed

Today, the parties discussed opportunities for new contributions, as well as securing additional funding to purchase air defense systems.

"The Drone Deal signed by our countries allows Ukrainian weapons to be exported to Estonia. This way, Estonia can obtain proven weapons, and Ukraine can receive additional funds for its defense. We agreed that our teams would promptly work on the contents of such an export package," Zelenskyy said.

The President also thanked Estonia for its steadfast support on Ukraine’s path to the EU.
