Guided aerial bomb strike on Zaporizhzhia: seven dead, including three children; 10 injured (updated). VIDEO+PHOTOS

On the morning of 10 October, Russian invaders launched yet another attack on Zaporizhzhia. A strike on a five-storey residential block was recorded.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Mykhailo Semikin.

"There is a possibility that people may be trapped under the rubble. Details are being confirmed," he initially reported.

In particular, as a result of the strike on one of the high-rise buildings, one of the entrance blocks has been partially destroyed. Structures collapsed at the level of the second floor.

"According to preliminary information, there may be people trapped under the rubble," Semikin emphasised.

As a result of the attack, at least 26 residential buildings were damaged—23 high-rises and 3 single-family homes in the Shevchenkivskyi and Voznesenivskyi districts.

Three buildings sustained significant damage. Non-residential buildings and premises were also damaged.

Casualties and Injured

It later became known that the enemy had launched simultaneous attacks in several locations.

"A woman was pulled from the rubble of a five-story building. She is conscious. She is currently being handed over to the ambulance crew," the head of the Regional State Administration reported around 6 a.m.

By 6:00 a.m., it became known that two people had been killed in the attack and two others had been injured.

"Search and rescue operations are ongoing. There may still be people trapped under the rubble. Details are still being confirmed," the statement said.

As of 7 a.m., the number of dead and wounded in Zaporizhzhia had risen.

"Four people were killed . Three others sustained minor injuries, and one person was hospitalized," Semikin said.

There may still be one person trapped under the rubble. Rescuers are continuing their search efforts.

Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the Regional Defense Council, reported at 7:45 a.m. that four people had been killed, including a child, and 11 others had been injured.

"Among the injured are two children: a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. Both are in moderate condition.

In total, two of the victims are in serious condition, two have minor injuries, and seven others are in moderate condition.

"Four people have been hospitalized, five are receiving outpatient care, and two more are undergoing medical examinations," Fedorov said.

He later reported the death of another child.

"Unfortunately, it has been reported that another child was killed in this morning's attack on Zaporizhzhia," Fedorov said.

As of 9:00 a.m., there have already been seven deaths in Zaporizhzhia, including children.

"There are already seven fatalities as a result of the Russian attack. Among them are three children," Semikhin said.

He also noted that 10 people were injured in the attack, including one child. Two of the victims are in serious condition.
