Putin rejected peace talks with Ukraine in conversation with Trump, - Kremlin

During a telephone conversation with Donald Trump, the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin ruled out the possibility of peace talks and vowed to continue the war against Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, citing Russian media reports, this was stated by the Russian leader’s aide, Yuri Ushakov
He noted that Trump "warmly congratulated Putin on his birthday, informally wished him success and well-being, and passed on greetings from the First Lady". In response, Putin thanked Trump for his interest in dialogue with Moscow and emphasised the consistency of Russia’s position regarding the aggression against Ukraine.
"Putin ruled out the resumption of peace talks and stated that Russia would continue military operations until it had achieved ‘all its objectives’. He also emphasised the Kremlin’s unchanging stance on the war against Ukraine," Ushakov said.
Putin accused Ukraine of attempting to disrupt the Russian elections
Putin also accused Ukraine of allegedly attempting to disrupt the elections in Russia. The Russian dictator, in particular, stated that "Kyiv’s attempts to disrupt the Russian parliamentary elections and attacks on civilians have made it impossible to resume negotiations immediately, particularly in the trilateral ‘Russia-Ukraine-US’ format."
Putin also sought to convince Trump that Ukrainian resistance "has no prospects", whilst Russian occupation forces "are fully in control of the initiative and are advancing".
Ushakov claims that, following the conversation, Trump instructed that the "signals" received from Russia be passed on to the Ukrainian side.
