Russians trying to capture Riasne in Sumy region and expand area of control near border – Trehubov
Russian occupation forces are trying to fully capture the settlement of Riasne in the Sumy region and expand their area of control along the border. The enemy is moving forces toward areas it does not control, but Ukraine’s Defense Forces are aware of its plans.
According to Censor.NET, Joint Forces Task Force spokesperson Viktor Trehubov said this during a television broadcast.
"In the eastern part of the Sumy region, the Russians are actively trying to push toward that unfortunate settlement of Riasne, to capture it completely, and are still trying to expand their overall area of control a little, both along the border and deeper into Ukrainian territory. They are unable to push deeper, but there are some signs of preparations to expand into areas close to the border that are not under Russian control," Trehubov said.
"They are moving some additional forces there, but, again, we can see this, and we know what they want to do," the spokesperson stressed.
