Russian forces have destroyed the last major logistics distribution centre belonging to the company ‘Epicentr’, located in Khmelnytskyi.

This was reported by Censor.NET, citing the company’s press office.

Details of the attack

"Ten. TEN attacks in a single day. Five major fires! In the end , the enemy achieved its goal – the fire destroyed around 85 per cent of the goods stored inside. Around thirty drones in the sky prevented the fire from being extinguished. Most importantly, all our people are alive. And that is the greatest relief today," the statement reads.

However, as noted, this is a blow to the company on a scale that is difficult even to comprehend.

What is the company saying?

"Previously, the Russians completely destroyed our two largest logistics complexes – in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The distribution centre in Khmelnytskyi was effectively the company’s only large warehouse complex to have survived. It was from here that goods were dispatched to our shopping centres. It was here that people worked every day so that millions of Ukrainians could buy what they needed. The enemy struck it ten times in a single day. It was as if they wanted to ensure that nothing would remain after them. This isn’t just about lost goods. It is a shattered logistics network, huge financial losses, and months and years of work by thousands of people. And do you know what’s the hardest part? Realising that behind every such attack lies more than just the destruction of buildings. It is a blow to the ability of Ukrainian businesses to operate, pay wages, preserve jobs and support the country’s economy," added Epicentr.
