Russians are regrouping in Kupiansk and Velykyi Burluk directions, - Trehubov

In the Kupiansk and Velykyi Burluk sectors, Russian troops are building up their forces and may be preparing for new attempts to regain lost ground. The absence of active assaults does not mean there is a lull on the front lines.
According to Censor.NET, Viktor Trehubov, a spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation, stated this during an appearance on "Espreso" and Slawa.TV.
According to him, the absence of active offensive operations by the Russians on October 13 in certain sectors, particularly the Kupiansk sector, does not indicate that the enemy has abandoned its offensive plans.
Russian troops are currently using lulls in the fighting to regroup and restore their combat readiness. They are building up forces in the Kupiansk and Velyka Burlutka sectors, which may precede new attempts to retake lost positions.
"In our area of responsibility, this applied, for example, to the Kupiansk and Velykyi Burluk sectors. This does not mean that the enemy has gone quiet there. On the contrary, in the Velykyi Burluk sector, we observed a buildup of troops near the border. Clearly, the enemy intends to rotate its forces and attempt to regain its positions in the near future," Trehubov explained.
The Kupiansk sector—an area of active fighting
He noted that the Kupiansk sector remains an active combat zone, and the brief absence of direct clashes may be due to the need for Russian units to replenish their forces and prepare for further operations.
"We're not talking about any long lulls along the front line right now. There may only be an isolated 24-hour period influenced either by changing weather conditions or by a specific situation within a particular Russian unit that requires a brief pause of a day or two, but no more than that," the spokesperson emphasized.
