Zelenskyy reports nearly 1,000 Russian drones in a day
During his meeting with Rutte, Zelenskyy said Russia had intensified its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, residential buildings and other infrastructure. The president wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
According to the head of state, Russian forces have launched nearly 1,000 strike drones since the start of the previous day. Ukraine has also faced several waves of ballistic missile strikes.
Zelenskyy stressed that, amid these attacks and restrictions on Starlink operations in Ukraine, it is important to maintain weapons supplies from NATO partners.
"This applies especially to ballistic missile interceptors and munitions for F-16s. We are working on new air defence packages. Literally every day and every hour, new packages can save the lives of Ukrainian men and women," the president said.
He added that he had discussed these issues and other important topics during his meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and thanked him for supporting Ukraine.
