The unit is currently one of the most effective among all volunteer territorial community formations and across Ukraine's Defence Forces in terms of the number of Russian drones destroyed, including jet-powered drones.

It was established at Plakhuta's initiative and fully equipped with funding from charitable donors. The Territorial Defence Forces, in turn, provide the unit with all necessary support.

The unit consists entirely of volunteers of different ages and backgrounds.

"It is a great honour for us to have Ukrainians of different generations, from different walks of life and with different experience fighting shoulder to shoulder with us. We pay particular attention to this issue and aim to extend the unique experience currently found only in the Territorial Defence Forces to new units.

And we are already seeing new volunteer territorial community formations being established that will be involved in this particular air defence format," Plakhuta said.
