181 combat engagements took place on front: enemy launches most attacks on Pokrovsk axis – General Staff
Since the start of Wednesday, October 28, 181 combat engagements have taken place on the front.
This is according to the 10:00 p.m. update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
Enemy attacks
The enemy carried out 55 air strikes, dropping 188 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 5,249 kamikaze drones to carry out strikes and shelled settlements and our troops’ positions 1,731 times.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
- During the day, seven combat engagements were recorded on the Southern Slobozhanskyi axis near Ternova, Starytsia, Ozerne and Khrypuny. One attack is still ongoing.
- On the Kupiansk axis, the Defense Forces thwarted one attempt by the invaders to advance near Novoosynove.
Fighting in the east
On the Lyman axis, four combat engagements took place near Nadiia, Kolodiazi, Lyman and Dibrova. One battle is still ongoing.
Two attacks by the occupiers were repelled on the Sloviansk axis near Zakitne and Kryva Luka.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, our units thwarted 16 enemy attempts to advance near Kostiantynivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Novoselivka, Rozkishne, Dovha Balka, Novohryhorivka, Mykolaipillia, Novopavlivka and Petrivka.
A total of 38 combat engagements were recorded on the Pokrovsk axis near Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, Sofiivka, Vilne, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, Nove Shakhove, Stepy, Novyi Donbas, Chernihivka, Sviatohorivka, Dobropillia, Novohryshyne, Serhiivka, Vasylivka, Udachne, Molodetske and Novopavlivka, three of which are still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, 34 occupiers were killed and 24 wounded here today; seven motor vehicles and 59 enemy shelters were destroyed. One motor vehicle and 25 enemy shelters were damaged. A total of 153 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled one enemy assault on the Oleksandrivka axis near Kalynivske.
Situation in the south
Nine attacks were recorded on the Huliaipole axis near Kosivtseve, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, Bilohiria and Charivne.
On the Orikhiv axis, our defenders pushed the enemy back near Novoiakovlivka.
Other axes
- The enemy conducted no offensive operations on the Northern Slobozhanskyi, Kramatorsk and Prydniprovskyi axes.
- There were no significant changes in the situation on other axes.
