Defense Forces struck rocket fuel production plant in Russia’s Rostov region, - General Staff

The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a rocket fuel plant in Russia’s Rostov region

On the night of October 31, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a strike against a facility belonging to the Russian military-industrial complex—the "Kamensky" plant in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region, Russian Federation.

According to Censor.NET, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports this.

To strike the target, attack drones and the Ukrainian Navy's missile forces, equipped with "Neptune" coastal missile systems, were deployed.

According to preliminary reports, a fire at the finished goods warehouse has been confirmed. Four production facilities were also damaged.

What is known about the plant?

The "Kamensky" Plant manufactures solid rocket propellant for ammunition used in the "Uragan," "Smerch," and "Tornado-S" multiple-launch rocket systems, as well as for a number of missile systems and airborne weapons.

Damage to such production facilities could reduce the Russian army's ability to use rocket artillery to shell Ukrainian settlements.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also struck four Russian military depots

In addition to the industrial complex, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes on four Russian Army logistics depots.

The facilities are located in the following districts:

  • Khartsyzsk and Dokuchaevsk in the Donetsk region;

  • Novovasylivka, Zaporizhzhia region;

  • Novoaydar, Luhansk region.

The Defense Forces emphasized that the strikes are being carried out as part of Ukraine’s exercise of its right to self-defense, guaranteed by Article 51 of the UN Charter. Their goal is to systematically weaken Russia’s military and economic capabilities and compel it to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine.
