The Ukrainian military have successfully evacuated a wounded comrade from the battlefield for the third time using the StarGate unmanned aerial system from SkyFall. This time, they managed to rescue 54-year-old Andrii, call sign ‘Donbas’, who had lost a foot and had been waiting 57 days to be evacuated.
According to Censor.NET, the rescue operation was carried out by soldiers from the CODE 9.2 unit.
The StarGate unmanned system travelled approximately 15 kilometres to a position located just two kilometres from the Russian border.
With the help of a drone, Ukrainian troops managed to evacuate the wounded soldier from the dangerous area.
Andrii is currently in hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical care.
This is the third instance of a wounded soldier being evacuated from the battlefield using StarGate, as reported by the system’s developers.
