The leader of the U.S. stated that even a successful president cannot guarantee victory in an election.
"No matter how good the president is, you're going to lose," Trump said, adding that because of gas prices, Americans have been unable to feel the economic benefits achieved under his presidency.
He stated that high fuel prices were caused by the war in Iran, and once again defended the U.S. military campaign in the Middle East, calling it necessary to prevent the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons.
As is well known, the Democrats are leading the Republicans in the U.S. congressional elections.
What led up to this?
- Donald Trump has previously stated on more than one occasion that the rise in gas prices in the U.S. is caused by attacks by Ukraine on Russian oil refineries and the closure of such facilities in Democratic states.
