Anti-corruption authorities are conducting searches at the premises of Serhii Duka, deputy head of the SSU’s Department for the Protection of the National State, as well as at the premises of Anton Kravchuk, head of the Main Directorate for Internal Security.
Background
- Earlier, the NABU reported that a high-ranking SSU official was threatening to use a weapon and obstructing a search.
- Subsequently, the Bureau stated that NABU and the SAPO had uncovered a criminal organization that systematically bribed high-ranking officials of the SSU, the National Police, and the Prosecutor’s Office in exchange for "protection" of fraudulent call centers and other illegal businesses.
