Assault troops of 225th Regiment show how they attack ruscist positions with support from ground robots and drones. VIDEO

Ukrainian defenders from the 225th Separate Assault Regiment have released footage of assault operations using an unmanned ground vehicle and aerial reconnaissance.

As Censor.NET reports, during the assault, Ukrainian troops move onto enemy positions under reconnaissance drone overwatch, while an unmanned ground vehicle equipped with a weapon station operates alongside them.

This coordination between infantry and aerial and ground-based unmanned systems helps reduce risks to troops and improve the effectiveness of assault operations.

According to the unit, while its troops were still using conventional assault group tactics a year ago, drones now perform around 50% of infantry tasks.

The 225th Separate Assault Regiment published footage of the tactics being used on its Telegram channel.
