In Ternopil, police are conducting a special operation to apprehend an armed man who has locked the store manager inside the store’s office.
This was reported by the regional police, according to Censor.NET.
What is known?
At around 11:00 a.m., law enforcement received a report of an incident at a retail store.
"An unknown man locked the store manager in her office. Shortly afterward, two gunshots were heard coming from the premises," authorities said.
Police and all necessary specialized services are currently on the scene.
"Law enforcement is taking immediate measures to apprehend the man and ensure public safety. We ask citizens to stay away from the scene and follow the instructions of the police," the police added.
According to Suspilne, the man has already been detained.
