Ukraine must fight for $16 billion in suspended U.S. aid, - Zelenskyy

Zelenskyy spoke about the $16 billion in U.S. aid that Ukraine did not receive

Ukraine should raise the issue of receiving $16 billion in U.S. aid, which had previously been agreed upon but was subsequently suspended. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that after the U.S. elections, Kyiv should step up its efforts with the U.S. side and seek opportunities to obtain additional support.

According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, the head of state said this in an interview with "TSN."

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine needs to adapt its engagement with the new political landscape in the U.S. and maintain bipartisan support.

"Ukraine must adapt to the new political infrastructure in the United States. We must move quickly. We must consolidate the bipartisan support we have. Given the shifting balance of power, we must structure our dialogue correctly. Right now, our chances of receiving additional aid from the United States may be increasing," the president noted.

The head of state emphasized that until the war ends, Ukraine must continue to strengthen its own capabilities and work to obtain support from its partners.

In particular, Kyiv must raise the issue of the $16 billion provided for in previous agreements with the U.S. but not yet provided to Ukraine.

"We are grateful for everything that has been given, but Ukraine must at least fight for this money," Zelenskyy emphasized.
