Russia’s war against Ukraine will end with peace agreement involving compromises, - Rutte

Rutte stated how Russia’s war against Ukraine will end

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte believes that there will be no winner in Russia’s war against Ukraine. In his view, the hostilities will ultimately end with the signing of a peace agreement that will involve certain compromises.

According to Censor.NET, Bloomberg reports on this.

It is noted that during an episode of the Dutch talk show "Pau and De Wit," Rutte was asked whether anyone could win the war that Russia launched against Ukraine in February 2022.

"I don't think that's very likely. Wars like this always end with a peace agreement, which is often a kind of compromise," replied the NATO Secretary General.

The Threat Posed by the Russian Federation to Europe

At the same time, Rutte stressed that even after the war in Ukraine ends, Europe must remain vigilant against potential Russian aggression.

According to him, the Russian threat is not currently manifesting itself directly on Europe’s borders, since a significant portion of the Russian military is engaged in the war against Ukraine. However, once the war ends, Russia will have a large army, and this will pose a potential danger.

"We dream of the day when all of this will be over," Rutte said.

The NATO Secretary General also expressed his "great admiration" for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He added that they consult with each other every week.

In addition, Rutte noted that it is important for U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to have "good relations."
