Worst power situation is in Kyiv. This is all due to failure to implement decisions at city level, – Zelenskyy

President Zelenskyy held a meeting on the situation in the regions regarding the clean-up following Russian attacks and energy supplies.
The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Censor.NET.
What is known?
"The situation is worst in Kyiv: people and businesses are facing prolonged power and water cuts, and the challenges are very serious. In fact, this is the result of a failure at city level to implement decisions on preparations for the heating season, as well as this Russian operation against Ukraine’s energy sector," he noted.
According to the president, the government is providing additional measures that may help.
"This concerns the supply of equipment and speeding up the work. There are also agreements with Germany and Spain – I discussed this with leaders and companies during my visits – regarding the supply of the necessary generators, cables and other equipment," he explained.
The Head of State also heard reports on the situation in Dnipro, Kharkiv, the Poltava, Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions, in Odesa and the Odesa region, in the Zhytomyr and Sumy regions, and in the Kyiv region.
"We held separate discussions with representatives of energy companies – both state-owned and private – regarding the need to deploy additional teams and speed up the restoration work.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine reported on the launch of a programme of monthly allowances for everyone involved in the restoration work, in particular energy sector workers, utility workers, railway staff, and employees at water treatment and supply facilities. It is important that specific capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being deployed to restore the power grid and energy infrastructure," said Zelenskyy.
The President also heard reports from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Commander of the Air Force on the deployment of combat aircraft to shoot down "shaheds", on cover groups for energy and infrastructure facilities, and on the deployment of mobile fire support units.
"We are preparing additional supplies of ammunition for the F-16s: the relevant agreements with our partners are already in place. Specific instructions have been given to the Prime Minister of Ukraine regarding communication with neighbouring countries and the operation of solidarity export routes. "Thank you to each and every one of you who is truly doing EVERYTHING and working round the clock for the people!" he concluded.
