Law enforcement officers in the capital are not conducting and have not conducted investigative actions on the premises of the municipal enterprise "Kyivteploenergo".

The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office said this, Censor.NET reports.

The information is inaccurate

"We wish to clarify that on November 6, 2026, law enforcement officers in the capital are not conducting and have not conducted investigative actions on the premises of the municipal enterprise 'Kyivteploenergo', nor have they seized documents needed to begin work under the Kyiv City Resilience Plan. The information published on the Kyiv City State Administration website is inaccurate," the statement reads.

The prosecutor’s office said that court-authorized investigative actions took place exclusively at the homes of two Kyivteploenergo employees and employees of contracting companies as part of an investigation into possible theft and embezzlement of public funds through inflated material costs during construction work.

The investigation concerns agreements concluded in 2024 and contracts signed in March 2026. Acceptance certificates for certain works have been signed, and payment has already been made. Investigators are also examining evidence that public funds received were transferred to accounts held by sole proprietors under the control of those involved.

The prosecutor’s office also stressed that no documents were seized during searches at the homes of Kyivteploenergo employees.

"We stress that the investigative actions conducted at these individuals’ homes do not and cannot affect the start of heating supply to Kyiv residents’ apartments," the prosecutor’s office added.

The pre-trial investigation in this criminal case is being conducted by investigators from the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, with operational support from the Kyiv Strategic Investigations Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine’s Strategic Investigations Department and under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
